Yosemite Nature Notes - One Day in Yosemite
Visit a National Park or a State Park near you today! These beautiful landscapes are maintained and preserved for the public to enjoy, and I urge you to take advantage of them. Nothing compares to that feeling, that connection to the natural 'forces' that we are sometimes aware of deep down within our soul. It is a feeling that we can train, nurture, and recall at will if we just invest the time and energy to become more attuned to it. Try it! Your mind, body, and soul will love you and thank you for it later - I promise. :)

A Metaphor For Hate
My Friends,
You got to educate
if you aim to eliminate hate.
Teach by example, Spread Aloha everyday,
And then in every way Love will percolate~
LOVE IS that which Enables Choice. LOVE IS Always Stronger than fear.
ALWAYS choose on the BASIS of LOVE.

Blue Scholars - Sagaba
Aloha and Happy Hump-Day Everyone! Keep on keepin' on~
LYRICS:
Sister sits on the steps
Cigarette rests on fingertips
Takes a sip of slow death deathly through her lips,
She blows a kiss
Which I can only resist in vain
She got the gift of gravity pulling to ask her name
She says Sagaba
What's it mean - she says in Ilocano
It translates into suffering
I'm pondering the irony to conjure up the fearlessness to find a conversation
She offers me a square, I decline the invitation
It reminds me of the days when I would chain smoke
Broken with no hope
Like broken like the manner she spoke
We both
Two people seeking
Solace and remembrance
And wondering if miracles were meant for us
But intent was just an innocent thought between a sister and a brother
Who been building in the guidance of a mother
And the storyteller stops
Waiting for the beat to drop
Gathering his thoughts in the wind, breathing in like...
Now, I couldn't stand to see the queen breathe her dreams away
And tell me her tomorrow will never become today
I say I used to know a woman just like you,
Beautiful but jaded by the multitude of men who'd often try to
Justify their lies with twisted notions of survival
And hide behind their armor when karma completes a cycle
She replied
That just because I knew a woman well it doesn't mean I know them all
She begins to bade farewell
Eyes up to the sky, she sighs, I need nobody
True indeed, sister, but you still need everybody because
We hardly know ourselves if we know nobody else
And only in our loneliness can home become a hell
Exhale
The cloud in the loudest form of silence
Watches as it rises like suns over horizons
The storyteller stops
Waiting for the beat to drop
Gathering his thoughts in the cloud, breathing out like...
Dreams be the ashes
Burns and thrashing in the wind
Flying out the burning bush attached to sister's hand
Who whispers “word”
Smiling and giving thanks, living in doubt no longer
As she figures out the riddle to the song
Saying why must we suffer now and not suffer later if later
Never comes soon enough to soothe the hatred
And hatred
Is the cancer born out of love's absence
And the absence is the void left from missing every chance to
Challenge our fates and perhaps our very names
Sister says peace and prayers for rain and change
Tosses out her lighter
Walks out of the cipher
For shizzle it starts to drizzle and then I begin to write this
Inhale the imagery – a queen walking steadily
Effortlessly
Ready to be
Every woman and now the
Story teller ends
Waiting for the beat to fade
Gathering his thought near the edge of the day like...

Buttons Surfing On Sadoy
Nothing compares to that rush you get when catching a wave.
The moment is instantaneous, fleeting.
But at the same time, life almost freezes in frame and the seconds crawl by in slow- motion.
You feel like you are being suspended in time and space.
Unreal.
And each wave is unique unto itself - unlike any wave before it or any wave after it.
They come, effortlessly almost automatically.
Willed into being by the Earth and the Moon. In that way, each wave is alive.
As natural and beautiful as the man, woman, girl, or boy riding it.
Respect.

Carl Sagan: "A Message For The People Of Earth"
A spectacular sound bite that humbly paints the human condition as a perspective of our collective human experience amongst the greater scheme of things. We have come so far in the history of our little blue planet, and yet we have barely begun to unravel the greater mysteries of the universe. Dream BIG my friends! And take care of each other! This is what we must accomplish first before we can ever save our planet for whatever the future may hold.
"We embarked on our cosmic voyage with a question first framed in the childhood of our species and in each generation asked anew with undiminished wonder: What are the stars? Exploration is in our nature. We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still. We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars."

To Thy Own Self Be True
In this world, no one is perfect - there are only those with greater work ethic, discipline, and passion.
Not knowing your weaknesses is far more detrimental to your success than your weaknesses themselves. Be stronger, better in spite of fully understanding your own areas of lacking. In order to grow, one must "accept [his] limitations for what they [are] and capitalize on them." This my friends is wisdom. Now shall we endeavor to put the words into practice. Do what you can do and continue perfecting your strengths in light of your weaknesses.

HeartBEAT
Finally get home
at the end of the night
I just wanna lay down
turn the volume up high.
Recharge my fuel cells
Time to Spark the flame
and test that connection
from my soul to my brain.
Feel the pacemaker
the drum and bass
Take my pulse in bpm
got music in my veins.

An Imagination is a Terrible thing to Waste~
Here's an awesomely created video featuring one of my tv role models. It's really wonderful to be able to look back at my childhood influences and finally be able to fully appreciate the amazing people out there spreading good vibes and planting seeds of wisdom in the youth. I pray that we live and never outgrow that youthful spirit and innocence we had before we became so impressionable, and continue to truly absorb ideas and create endless possibilities with the full potential of our unleashed imaginations. Stay tuned! I'll be sharing more sweet music videos from melodysheep in the future :)

Top Shelf - Time to Wake
Spreading positive vibes throughout the week.
Aloha brethren & sistren - mahalo for listening!
Be the change that you want to see in this world~
LYRICS:
Some of them say that the bad men
And wicked will fall
I say we need more teachers
To teach the small
The youth becoming prisoners
They building the wall
We can't stand aside and watch this anymore
The youth are falling
The youth are in the struggle
The youth need help
On the double
It's everywhere you look
I just can't stand the rain
It's time for us to wake
All these women all around
Being programmed to look
Just like the figures in a Fairytale book
Taught to pick apart themselves
Not love the way they look
It's all a big ploy on America's hook
It's everywhere you look
I just can't stand the rain
It's time for us to wake
With so many things gone awry
In this world we live today
Seams hard to find the time
To sit or pray
But we have the voice inside which fights
For freedom every day
But sometimes we get clouded up
By media's mad ways
Trying to fear us all into doing just what they say
Little do they know
The people rising up every day
We all go on a move
I just can't stand the rain
It's time for us to wake

Success: How Bad Do You Want It?
Mai makaʻu i ka hana; e makaʻu naʻe i ka moloā.
Do not fear work; fear laziness.
...
Everybody wants the secret to success, but when the steps to success are revealed and demystified by hard work not everyone is eager to act. Effort, perseverance, and heart shall be the dividing line between the perpetual dreamers and the doers in this world. Which one are you?
Be both, my friends. Hiki nō! You can do it!
Do not fear work; fear laziness.

Nothing Is Impossible
Nothing is impossible, my friends! Ride your imagination over every hurdle in your path! The goal lies within your own perseverance, and the reward lies within your own hard work.

The Garden
In the garden ideas sprout and ideas grow.
Some yield fruit
harvested to nourish the body
& soul.
Others bud, and bloom
into bright, colorful flowers.
Their pollen is collected
taken beyond the garden on the wings of knowledge.
But let us not forget,
that among the flowers and the fruit
weeds spring up with the slightest change in winds
stealing nutrients and spoiling the soil.
Who is planting the seeds in your garden? And have you tended your garden today?

Martin Luther King Jr. on NBC's Meet the Press in 1965
The revolutionary ideas of the righteous man will always cast fear and doubt in the minds of the wicked man and the ignorant man.
Observe how Dr. King is teaching the interviewers in addition to all the viewers at home. True leadership commands respect and purpose, but embodies humility and love. Spread Aloha friends, and we shall thrive together!

Katchafire - Is This Familiar
Happy Aloha Friday everyone! There's nothing quite like that familiar feeling you get when the weekend finally arrives. Enjoy your 3-day weekend! Keep them vibes alive~
Hannah Fry - Is Life Really That Complex?
In our lives and in our collective realities, everything is connected to everything. That which we experience and observe resemble an infinite loop of analogy after analogy. When we step back from our inherent perspectives and think outside the proverbial box, we see a chain of microcosm within microcosm within microcosm all the way from the vastness of the universe down to the smallest microscopic organism.
Is Life really that complex? It is and it isn't. Perhaps it is because of this we find a thread of universal beauty and wonderment woven throughout all things within our human experience: large, small, and everything in between.
The universe is within you :)

Cruisin' Through The Week
Aloha and Happy Hump-Day! Hope everyone is cruisin' through the week smoothly. Watch out for those potholes! :)
The Beautiful Earth
Isn't the Earth amazing! There are many planets in our corner of the universe, but this one is ours. She is our planet, our lifesource, our home. We belong to her, we are a part of her. Our physical and spiritual mother, she provides everything we could ever possibly need. Our souls breathe the lifeforce that embody her living spirit. We are alive because she is alive.

Undefined: Pursuing Enlightenment Through Humility
Humility must take precedence over enlightenment if one is to successfully expand his own cognitive capacity; for it is impossible to grow if the mind refuses to acknowledge its own gaping inadequacies. The list of the unfathomable and the impossible is infinite to a static mind and the very thought of being challenged lest he is proven incorrect - to have one's own paradigm, one's own truth, flipped upside-down, or worse - torn to shreds, proves to anger and to offend the ordinary man. New and foreign ideas endanger his own blind allegiance to the ideas already trapped within the confines of his small world and therefore threaten his pride. To this man, philosophy embodies psychological violence. To him, the very possibility that his own meaning his own reality is not in fact truth, shakes him to the core. His doubts create fear. His fear puts his mind in shackles. So he remains unmoved.
On the other hand, the man who sets down his pride to reach outside the paradigm with a clear mind and an open heart is the one who endeavors to learn and mature. For he does not ignorantly refuse nor does he tacitly accept the first news that reaches his senses, but instead he continuously examines further evidence on his own accord. It requires a degree of wisdom to accept that alternate possibilities exist; that they just simply lie beyond the periphery of one's own consciousness. This, my friends, is the the first step that must be taken before you can endeavor to expand your own universe.
Blessed is the man who is true to himself.

Motivation Of A Legend

So what more should we put in?
How about this? Thought, Initiative, Effort, Action, Love.
On the flip side: junk in, junk out. Therefore, if you choose to do something my friends, do it with your whole heart. Peace and Blessings~

'Spirits All Around Us'
"You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body, temporarily."
~Walter M. Miller, Jr. in Fiat Voluntas Tua
Things are getting large way too much
What you can't feel is what you can't touch
I want to feel
The more we see the less we feel
We go too far and we miss what's here
Let's keep it real.
Please don't clone me... just remember me
There are spirits all around us

In The Beginning
Oh how tiny we are in the greater scheme of things! Although no less important nonetheless! But no more important either. The human being, a single incredible life force amongst a river of many amidst the entirety of the universe and all its vastness, shines like a beacon from within the Milky Way. Together we are one, together we are something even greater, something eternal, shooting through space and time.
To infinity, and beyond!

LYRICS:
Stephen Hawking:
"The expansion of the universe was one of the most important intellectual discoveries of the 20th Century, or of any century. It transformed the debate about whether the universe had a beginning."
[Everything we see was once a little part of everything we touch]
"If galaxies are moving apart now, they must have been closer together in the past. If their speed had been constant, they would have all been on top of one another about 15 billion years ago. Was this the beginning of the universe?"
In the beginning there was just a ball
No bigger than an atom
Floating all alone in a dark room with no borders
And all the stars that glow, and seas, and people you know, we were together
A time when things were better
This was history's most peaceful time for us
We were always tight
Without a fight, we floating through the nighttime before order
And you and me and all the stars and seas and trees, we were together
A time when things were better
All we know is 15 billion years ago
The peace was suddenly shattered
A chain reaction blew us all apart like it never mattered
And you and me and all the things we know and see got torn from each other
The Big Bang is our mother
Everything we see
Was once a little part of everything we touch
Was just as much a part of those we love and hate
Can't separate them from the waves out on the sea
It's all a distant part of me
To infinity, and beyond!

Stranger - Hand In Hand
Here's to another Sunday afternoon! Remember to spread positive vibes in everything you do~
LYRICS:
You can always count on me, when you need a hand I’ve got two
Don’t be afraid to ask, in a matter of time I’ll count on you
We can’t be living for ourselves, cuz we’ll never live at all
It’s time we wake up and face the day Hand In Hand
You can always count on me, when you are down, down and out
In your time of need, know that on me you can count
We can’t be thinking for ourselves, pay no mind to eachother
It’s time we wake up and face the day Hand In Hand

26 Random Acts Of Kindness
A wonderful idea in honor of each life lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Perhaps we should strive to make even the smallest efforts to incorporate this way of acting in our daily lives. Love one another other my friends, it is the very least we can do for each other.

Photoreal Drawings by Diego Fazio
The infinite extent of the creative talents of humankind will never cease to amaze. Often times it is through art by which we are reminded of the limitless potential of the human mind, and above all the innate beauty within LIFE itself that can produce such [un]believable things. Enjoy!

The World Today: Futility in Existence?
How did we arrive at this point?
How did the once precious circle of life mutate into this wicked Pandora's Box?
It seems that our solutions to our problems in this world today seem to beget more problems than the ones they solve. A curious question indeed! How is it that every time we set out to make our lives easier, we unintentionally create more complexities, complications and repercussions than we could have ever imagined in the first place?
To solve this riddle we must return to the most fundamental question:
Why do we exist?
Might I assert that the day you are able to answer this question for yourself will be the day you discover your life's purpose. My friends, do not prioritize trivial things in this world for life is too short and precious to be wasted clamoring for the materialistic culture that invades our midst. As long as we keep on buying, they will continue to keep on selling their lies.
The most important things in life are not things.

An Audiobook Channel on YouTube!
In the fast-paced culture we are surrounded by in this technological age, we often find it difficult to take the time to feed our imaginations through the oldschool medium of literature. Don't forget that there are multiple ways to exercise those braincells. Just like the rest of the muscles in your body, your brain requires a diversified work-out regimen to keep it healthy, happy, and sharp.
For any of my friends who made the NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION to READ more, here is an easy way to achieve your goals - just follow the link. This YouTube channel contains an extensive library of complete (as well as many unabridged) classics. Enjoy! CCProse - Classic Audiobooks on YouTube
