Nelson Mandela

Today we mourn the loss and celebrate the Life and struggle of Nelson Mandela, civil rights titan and one of the central figures in the fight against South African apartheid. As we remember him today, let us be inspired to be brave and to stand up and speak out for truth and rights - for our own lives and for those who do not have the voice to speak out for themselves. Be strong and wise, my friends!

Bob Marley - Could You Be Loved

Tomorrow is Bob's birthday. And with that I would like to share some of his music with you and encourage you to learn more about the man. He was more than just a musician, and a rasta, and a world famous celebrity. He embodied a movement, a genre, and a hope for a better world. If you would like to learn more, check out the links below! I highly recommend MARLEY a documentary by Kevin Macdonald, as I believe it accurately captures Bob's story and his meaning. Enjoy!

Martin Luther King Jr. on NBC's Meet the Press in 1965

The revolutionary ideas of the righteous man will always cast fear and doubt in the minds of the wicked man and the ignorant man.

Observe how Dr. King is teaching the interviewers in addition to all the viewers at home. True leadership commands respect and purpose, but embodies humility and love. Spread Aloha friends, and we shall thrive together!

'Spirits All Around Us'

"You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body, temporarily."
~
Walter M. Miller, Jr. in Fiat Voluntas Tua

Things are getting large way too much
What you can't feel is what you can't touch
I want to feel
The more we see the less we feel
We go too far and we miss what's here
Let's keep it real.

Please don't clone me... just remember me
There are spirits all around us

The World Today: Futility in Existence?

How did we arrive at this point?

How did the once precious circle of life mutate into this wicked Pandora's Box?

It seems that our solutions to our problems in this world today seem to beget more problems than the ones they solve. A curious question indeed! How is it that every time we set out to make our lives easier, we unintentionally create more complexities, complications and repercussions than we could have ever imagined in the first place?

To solve this riddle we must return to the most fundamental question:

Why do we exist?

Might I assert that the day you are able to answer this question for yourself will be the day you discover your life's purpose. My friends, do not prioritize trivial things in this world for life is too short and precious to be wasted clamoring for the materialistic culture that invades our midst. As long as we keep on buying, they will continue to keep on selling their lies.

The most important things in life are not things.

Be Curious

My curiosity claws at my insides, crying to get out and run wild with my entrails through infinity. I want to be taken to the corners of the earth and my story told to children long after my bones rot and my footprints wash away from the surface of the sun. My imagination glides in and out of history as if there were no tomorrow. Who knew the dead spoke so loud?
