A Lesson in Political Philosophy: Only a matter of perspective
"Doublespeak."
Social Controlling Processes: It's all a matter of how you word your actions to disguise your true intent.

2 Easy Steps to Living A Happy Life
1. If it looks like bullshit, smells like bullshit, and tastes like bullshit,
you are probably eating bullshit.

Revolution by Coolie L
Aloha mai kākou!
Recently, I have been attempting to crank out some new art with aims of submitting my subject matter in specific art and design contests (usually T-shirt designs). All this at the encouragement of a artist friend of mine. So here is my latest attempt to capture a special message of my own in a display of artistic experimentation. The theme is that of a punk nature, and here is my best attempt to express those sentiments in a series of nonrandom lines scribbled by my #2 pencil. Enjoy!
P.S. Here is a link to an alternate vision of my creation.

30 Abandoned Places That Look Truly Beautiful
More specifically, an eerie tone of beauty which lies in the mystery of human desolation. Because we are mortal beings, we are an amnesic species from generation to generation; and our past is nearly as mysterious as our future. What we can remember, marks the capacity of human knowledge. What we have yet to learn, marks the capacity of human potential.
Incredible. Isn't it?

Thinking On A Saturday.
My Brothers & Sisters of Earth:
The boundaries of your enlightenment are constricted by the worldly dogma produced by the hegemonic powers of your own species' history, which you tacitly accept.
Free your mind.
Aloha. ♥

The Universal Language Is In Our Minds
"UC Berkeley linguistics lecturer Patrick Boudreault, who is deaf, explains that language is a fluid thing that's not just spoken. It's something universal that happens in our minds, whether it's communicated with our hands or our voice."
Have you ever stopped to really think about language?
How it magically enables us to communicate with each other? Have you ever stopped to really think about language?
How it mysteriously allows us to think
and define the incredible world which surrounds us?
How without it, our reality would not be our own?
In a culture of affluence, it is all too easy to take material things for granted. Which consequently makes it even easier still to walk through this life and overlook the most fundamental miracles of simply being.
Be grateful. And you will be happy, my friends.
Aloha~

Michio Kaku: The Universe in a Nutshell
It's Monday, time for some mental exercises in theoretical physics! If you have 42 minutes and just the smallest ounce of curiosity, you will definitely enjoy this entertaining lecture by the popular Japanese-American physicist, Michio Kaku, as he delivers a more practical approach to appreciating a world full of cultures full of physics. It is the cornerstone of all the fields of science after all. Stay curious my friends, and be enlightened!

The Overview Effect
Perspective really does create a vehicle of radical enlightenment as it is quite the profound metaphor for ourselves as individuals as well as a collective species. Push yourself and your mind to think beyond your own immediate scope of knowledge and undertake the mental stretches required to strengthen your capacity for personal growth. The Overview Effect that these scientists discuss verges on the spiritual connectedness that ties together all life contained within our tiny blue orb of energy floating in space. Take care of one another, and together we can take care of the Earth. Brought to you in HD. Enjoy!

Sam Richards - A Radical Experiment In Empathy
Sam Richards delivers one of the most thought-provoking TEDtalks where he challenges the viewer to participate in a radical and emotional exercise in empathy.
Richards' leads us through this sociological experiment so that we could better understand the "other" people beyond our immediate political-social proximity. You may find his talk mentally exhausting as he unapologetically touches on sensitive political topics, but if you allow yourself to open your mind and step outside of your own preconceived socio-cultural constructs, I guarantee that you will experience something new. True empathy has the power to destroy and reconstruct the way you perceive yourself and the culture of which you are a part. Learn how to understand your fellow human.
Be Enlightened. Change your Heart. Change the World.

Mishka - 3rd Eye Vision
Continuing along in today's theme of the human mind: What does it mean to be "third eye blind?" Although many associate the concept of the third eye with mysticism and Eastern philosophy and religion, there have also been many well-known Western discussions on the concept of the human soul and consciousness. René Descartes actually called the pineal gland the "principle seat of the soul."
By the way, Mishka is probably the reggae artist today who reminds me the most of Bob Marley's musical style and content. Enjoy!
LYRICS:
[Verse 1]
I heard you saying it won't make a difference
It's only you and it's just this once yeah
It's only this time
Don't you think that it all adds up
There's a reaction for each action many drips fill the cup
Where do you draw the line
Know thyself and to thine own self be true
Any other way is gonna make you feel blue yeah
Ya gotta reason to be here
Hey maybe if we focus and we get it together
We could raise the human consciousness and make things better yeah
I know you think I'm a dreamer
[Chorus]
But I know that you're also seeking peace of mind
Wonderin' why you feel so tired why your third eye's blind
I know that you're also trying to find your place
Somewhere out in time and somewhere out in space
[Verse 2]
Get so exhausted from all the exhaust
From living in fear yeah from living in a box hey
How come we always have to drive
I keep wishing corporations, and the politicians
Would make tighter restrictions on our fossil fuel emissions and meanwhile
Why don't we walk
If we all did a little then a lot would be done
We could clean up the mess and try to have some fun yeah
I'm off to plant a tree now
Cause if everybody takes and nobody gives
There'll soon be no air to breathe and no where to live
But you can't stop mother nature
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
Did you remember to give thanks for the food
The earth, the air, the water, and everything good
The fire's still burnin'
Talk to yourself cause no one knows you better
Even take the time to write yourself a letter
To know the wheels are still turnin'
There's no better time than now to stand up straight
Take a deep breath Lord it's never too late to
Exhale your confusion
They say its all been done and there's no sense trying
But they don't really know you and they're probably lying
You got to see for yourself yeah
[Chorus]
I know that you're also seeking
I know that you're also out there
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

A Metaphor For Hate
My Friends,
You got to educate
if you aim to eliminate hate.
Teach by example, Spread Aloha everyday,
And then in every way Love will percolate~
LOVE IS that which Enables Choice. LOVE IS Always Stronger than fear.
ALWAYS choose on the BASIS of LOVE.

Carl Sagan: "A Message For The People Of Earth"
A spectacular sound bite that humbly paints the human condition as a perspective of our collective human experience amongst the greater scheme of things. We have come so far in the history of our little blue planet, and yet we have barely begun to unravel the greater mysteries of the universe. Dream BIG my friends! And take care of each other! This is what we must accomplish first before we can ever save our planet for whatever the future may hold.
"We embarked on our cosmic voyage with a question first framed in the childhood of our species and in each generation asked anew with undiminished wonder: What are the stars? Exploration is in our nature. We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still. We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars."

To Thy Own Self Be True
In this world, no one is perfect - there are only those with greater work ethic, discipline, and passion.
Not knowing your weaknesses is far more detrimental to your success than your weaknesses themselves. Be stronger, better in spite of fully understanding your own areas of lacking. In order to grow, one must "accept [his] limitations for what they [are] and capitalize on them." This my friends is wisdom. Now shall we endeavor to put the words into practice. Do what you can do and continue perfecting your strengths in light of your weaknesses.

If can can. If no can, no can.

An Imagination is a Terrible thing to Waste~
Here's an awesomely created video featuring one of my tv role models. It's really wonderful to be able to look back at my childhood influences and finally be able to fully appreciate the amazing people out there spreading good vibes and planting seeds of wisdom in the youth. I pray that we live and never outgrow that youthful spirit and innocence we had before we became so impressionable, and continue to truly absorb ideas and create endless possibilities with the full potential of our unleashed imaginations. Stay tuned! I'll be sharing more sweet music videos from melodysheep in the future :)
